About the Pastor

Rev. Diane Harrison is the founding pastor of Grace Place United Methodist Church and has been the pastor since 2007.  Pastor Diane is a life-long United Methodist and grew up in St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Memphis.  She is a graduate of the University of Memphis with has a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary.  She served as Associate Pastor at both Covington and Somerville First United Methodist Churches.  She also served as Pastor of the Beech Bluff/Mt. Pleasant Charge. 

 

She is proud to be called a church planter and that hers is no ordinary church.  One of her greatest joys is the opportunity to tell others about her congregation and the amazing work they are doing.  She frequently speaks and preaches throughout the conference.   You can get in touch with her by emailing info@graceplacemethodist.com or calling 901-647-5185.

Jones Finzel

Pastor Virginia lives in Memphis, TN and is the Director of the Southeast Memphis Cooperative Parrish in Memphis, TN.  She serves on our Outside Council and leads the Monday afternoon Study group.

Ellen Markwell

Ellen Markwell lives in Germantown, TN and is a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church.  She leads a Wednesday evening exercise class.  El is a physical therapist.

Lauren Enzor

Lauren lives in Covington, TN and is a member of Covington First United Methodist Church.  She is the Chairperson of our Outside Council and is the leader of our “Touch of Grace” crochet group who produce the handmade items that provide funds for our mission work.

Sarah Jane Tice

Sarah Jane lives in Memphis, TN and is a member of Faith United Methodist Church (Memphis).  Sarah Jane is one of the book club leaders and is a retired school counselor.

Carol Avens

Carol lives in Germantown, TN and is a member of Covenant United Methodist Church.  Carol is a leader of the Saturday morning book club.  Carol is a retired teacher.

Marilyn Chism

Marilyn Chism lives in Memphis and is a member of Hope Presbyterian Church.  Marilyn is one of the leaders of the Book Club and is a retired teacher.

Mary Nelle Cook

 Mary Nelle lives in Memphis, TN and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  She leads our Monday evening exercise class and has led the Meta Narrative Bible Study.  Mary Nelle is retired from Southwest Tennessee Community College where she taught in the area of Health and Physical Education.

Kerry Krauch attorney and works with the Community Legal Center, a non-profit here in Memphis.  She volunteers with the book club.

Amanda Westmoreland

Amanda is our newest volunteer and we are so excited to have her.  She is a 2014 graduate of Vanderbilt Divinity School where she obtained her Master of Divinity.  She is currently in the process of becoming an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church.  Amanda is also a leader of the Monday afternoon study group.
